Ethical Standards. Everyday Decisions.

On Monday, November 3, University Compliance and Ethics kicked off the university’s 11th Compliance and Ethics Week awareness campaign: UCF’s Ethical Standards. Everyday Decisions. We invite you to complete several activities to be entered into a drawing to win a prize. Activities must be completed by the end of the day on Friday, November 7, to be eligible for the prize drawings. Prizes will be selected at random, and winners will be notified the week of November 17.

This year we have four mini self-guided training videos available in Workday on topics that include the Ethical Standards:

  • Honesty and Integrity Check: Are You on the Path?
  • True North: Navigating Respect & Civility
  • Guided by Principles: Stewardship, and Knightly Decisions
  • From Compass to Commitment: Navigating Responsibility and Accountability

We will also be offering an in-person training: Join us on Friday, November 7, for Ethical Leadership Training led by our very own Rhonda Bishop, Vice President for Compliance, Ethics, and Risk, and Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer.

Ethical choices aren’t always black and white. In this interactive workshop, we’ll explore:

  • The core principles of ethical decision-making
  • UCF’s framework for thinking ethically
  • Real-world scenarios where “doing the right thing” isn’t so simple

Please note, you must register for this in-person training through Workday prior to attending the session.

Additionally, this year’s activities feature a Category Climb through Materia. In this challenge, you’ll guess words across a variety of categories using the provided hints. Don’t worry, every answer can be found right on the University Compliance and Ethics website or within the UCF Employee Code of Conduct.

Each completed activity earns you an automatic entry into the prize drawings. If you’ve previously completed Ethical Leadership training, there’s no need to retake it to be entered into the prize drawings. You’ll automatically receive credit when you complete any of the other Compliance and Ethics Week activities. Employees who complete all Compliance and Ethics Week activities will be entered into the grand prize drawing.

Some of this year’s prize packs include UCF swag such as tumblers, caps, hoodies, Bluetooth speakers, tote bags, and more.

UCF related swag items.

This year’s grand prize includes an autographed baseball and tickets to a 2026 Knights home baseball game.

We look forward to you joining us in celebrating Compliance and Ethics Week to reinforce UCF’s shared commitment to ethical behavior. By participating in Compliance and Ethics Week, you’re not only engaging in fun and informative activities but also contributing to a culture of compliance and ethics at UCF. Thank you for being a vital part of our university’s commitment to an ethical culture, and for making UCF a “Best place to work and learn!”
